All of my life, I’ve heard that I can be intimidating. This strikes me as funny because if you get to know me personally, you’ll see that I’m just as goofy, prone to make mistakes, doubtful and uncertain as the next girl.
You are responsible for managing your career, which means you must make an extra effort to speak up and ask for what you want. Advocating for opportunities at work so that you build bridges, position yourself as a leader, and maintain a good rapport with your colleagues can be challenging. You might worry about the consequences of speaking up — how people will react, what they will think of you, and how they will behave.

As much as I want to include men in the conversation (I really do!), sometimes I get downright mad when they get on a soapbox and act like I don’t know something I, in fact, know all too well. It's patronizing and condescending, and I have little patience for it.
The truth is obvious. You live in a fast-paced environment where 'being busy' is a status symbol and running a tight ship is a key to your success. In order to keep all your ducks in a row and manage the day-to-day experience of being a modern professional, you need all the help you can get. This is where technology can be SUPER helpful.
